This patented
* device is the creation of William Wright, principle
of John J. Sheridan & Associates, Inc., a Florida Corporation representing
various manufacturers of high tech heating, ventilating and air conditioning
equipment.
Bill observed the initial attempts at this
technology with interest. "I was enthused about this project and developed it further
using the Carrier PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioners) and PTHP
(packaged terminal heat pumps). We achieved exceptionally good results in
removing moisture from indoor environments. The resulting benefits, particularity in humid
climates, are the prevention of mold and mildew and providing healthier air
and comfortable breathing conditions."
Use of this device also creates economic benefit
due to the fact that the dehumidified room will feel comfortable at
temperatures that would otherwise need to be further cooled by standard
air conditioners to achieve the same degree of comfort. Adding this device
to the traditional heating or cooling unit can reduce relative humidity levels well below 60%
. The benefits are clear, particularly where humid conditions exist.

Bill has a degree
in Industrial Administration from Hofstra University and an Associates
degree in air conditioning, heating and refrigeration from the State University
of New York at Farmingdale. He presided as the past president of
both the Florida West Coast American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Long
Island Chapter of ASHRAE. He taught courses in air conditioning and
design at the State University of New York at Farmingdale.
Recently he was instrumental in forming the student branch of ASHRAE at the
University of South Florida in Tampa.
Bill and his business partner and wife, Joan,
reside in Odessa, Florida. Joan's career started with The Singer
Company rising to Payroll Tax Manager and Coordinator for Singer Sewing
Machine Company and all their subsidiaries nationwide, including the heating
and air conditioning divisions.
In 1978, Zoneaire, Inc. a manufacturer of
Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps was created by the Wright
Family which shipped nationwide and Canada. The company grew into a
multi-million dollar company. Joan was Vice President, Secretary and
Treasurer, in charge of accounting, bookkeeping and administration.
"When Bill and I moved to Florida, John
J. Sheridan & Assoc., Inc. was created as a manufacturers representative,
representing Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, as well as
Water Source Heat Pumps." Again Joan took on the responsibilities of Vice
President, Secretary and Treasurer. Together they have successfully represented
Carrier, Climate Master and other manufacturers in the southeast.
The Wrights are active in their local yacht
club. Joan was Commodore of the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club in 2001 – 2002 and
was active with the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, a statewide membership
of 38 prestigious yacht clubs. They currently enjoy membership in the
Clearwater Yacht Club.
